Product Description

Ethinyl estradiol and norelgestromin transdermal is a prescription birth control patch that releases two synthetic hormones (an estrogen and a progestin) through the skin to prevent pregnancy by stopping ovulation, thickening cervical mucus, and thinning the uterine lining, preventing sperm from reaching an egg and a fertilized egg from implanting. It’s applied weekly to the skin (not breasts, irritated skin, or under tight clothing)

  • A new patch is applied once a week for three weeks, followed by one patch-free week.
  • It’s placed on the upper outer arm, abdomen, buttock, or back.
